We Love the Environment and Take Good Care of Her
One of our core values is using organic, environmentally friendly, sustainable products that protect our environment. We live these values with our guests every day. Here are a few examples:
It starts at breakfast. At the buffet, we only offer regional products with zero waste packaging. Our innovative butter machine saves energy and packaging waste. And it's a lot of fun to use. Guests will find plates with fresh fruits and vegetables from our farm in Egringen, a large variety of cereal, freshly squeezed orange juice.
Our Energy Management System? Certified.
In 2015 we renovated the entire hotel in order to save energy and have since been ISO-certified, specifically ISO 50001. Our energy is generated by our own block heat and power plant and the solar panels on our roof. You can track how much CO2 we're saving in real time on our energy monitor in the hotel lobby. LED light bulbs and energy efficient kitchen appliances lower our energy consumption even more. We'll gladly turn on the minibar in your room upon request, but until then, they remain off.
We are the proud owners of Germany's first taxi company that exclusively has electric cars since 2012. The three 'donkeys' as we call them are now a fixed staple in Badenweiler. If hotel guests arrive with an electric car, they can recharge it for free in our garage.
